Recognizing Gregory Peck

April 5, 1916–June 12, 2003

This April the Portrait Gallery is celebrating legendary actor Gregory Peck's 100th birth anniversary with two portraits, two films and one very special guest.

The portraits of Peck truly show his timelessness. His 1948 portrait by Boris Chaliapin will be on view in the upcoming exhibition "Hollywood and Time: Celebrity Covers," and a 1991 painting by Everett Raymond Kinstler (above) will be on displayed on our "Recognize" wall.

The museum will also host a double feature of Gregory Peck films on April 3, starting at 2 p.m. Historian Kate Lemay will introduce To Kill a Mockingbird and A Conversation with Gregory Peck, followed by a discussion led by the latter film's producers and a special guest, the actor's daughter Cecilia Peck.
